The  CA Employment Development Department or EDD reported that, as of last month, California’s unemployment rate went up to 10.1%, the high jump in 26 years.

EDD also reported, the industries laying people off are: Construction, Manufacturing, Transportation, Trade, Information, and Professional and Financial Services.

Meanwhile, Education and Health Care Services are doing well.  (Though the State is on a “hiring freeze” of state educators).

So with job losses left and right, what’s left for those who arelooking for a job? Or those who fear they might be the next one to get an axe? Or those who are graduating this year?

All these questions prompted me to do an informative piece, that would hopefully help the rest of us in this crappy economy.
